A supervised program of instruction on the fundamentals of Little League baseball. Participants are taught basic baseball skills such as hitting, throwing, catching and base running. Games and team practices are held throughout the season.
Pitch, Hit & Run Competition - Sunday, May 22, 10 am Foss Park
Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is a FREE, 1-day event for boys and girls ages 7-14, age is determined as of July 17, 2016. PHR is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball.
Boys and girls compete separately and participants have the opportunity to compete in four levels of competition including Locals, Sectionals, Team Championships and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game.

·The Pitch, Hit and Run Competition ends at 12pm; registration ends at 11:30am.
·All participants much register prior to competition. Registration process takes approximately 15 minutes.
·Registration form has been attached. To save time during registration process we suggest printing and filling out prior to competition.
·Participants must bring birth certificates as proof of age. Participants may compete as soon as they complete their registration. Competition time is approximately 30 minutes per participant.
·All participants will be notified by email regarding advancement to the Sectional Competition on June 4th.
·Local Competition awards will be given out prior to the Sectional Competition on June 4th.
Sectional Competition will be held Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at Foss Park.
All-Around Champions in each age and gender group from the Local Competition are ELIGIBLE to advance. The top 3 scores in each age and gender group among the Sectional All Around Champions within each MLB geographic market will advance to the Team Championships at Fenway Park.***

One of our great supporters, The Ryan Harrington Foundation, is hosting a 5k road race on Sunday June 12th at 10 am. It is a run/walk for both adults and kids.
This 5k race will start and end at the Blessing of the Bay Boat House in Somerville and follow the Mystic River over to Medford, through the Mystic River Reservation, and back over the Wellington Bridge to the finish. Free shirts to the first 300 registered.
There will be a kids fun run, refreshments, music and family activities including a visit from one of the clowns from Shriner's. Online registration fees are $30.00 for adults (plus processing fees). Kids 13 and under are welcome to come and run at no cost, but children must be registered.
